My research interests lie at the intersection of socio-legal studies, migration studies, and public policy. Drawing on a bottom-up perspective informed by street-level bureaucracy, she examines the role of courts in asylum governance, focusing on access to courts, judicial discretion, organizational dynamics, and the practices through which asylum policies are implemented. In my work I investigate how courts and other actors involved in litigation shape refugees’ access to rights and protection.
