A. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 2013-present: Research fellow at Department of Educational Studies - University of Bologna, on the topic La multidisciplinarietà, le patologie genetiche e il superamento delle difficoltà di apprendimento e di insegnamento in Pedagogia Speciale e Didattica dell'Integrazione

  • 2013: PhD in Pedagogy with scholarship at Department of Educational Studies - University of Bologna. Dissertation: Il filo di Arianna - Una ricerca multi ed interdisciplinare per il superamento degli handicap che la x fragile propone

  • 2006/2009:Research fellow at Department of Educational Studies - University of Bologna, on the topic“L'area di sviluppo potenziale, le tecnologie mediatrici per il superamento delle difficoltà di apprendimento e di insegnamento: l'emozione di conoscere”

  • 2005: Degree in Primary Teacher Education with honour (summa cum laude) and specialisation in Special Education (Additional Course for Special Education Teachers) - University of Bologna. Research thesis about the pedagocical and educational case of a child with Down syndrome from birth to integration at school.

 

 

B. FELLOWSHIPS:

 

  • September 2010 - present: team member on the research-action-training project “Il progetto Amico”. The project is coordinated by Professor Nicola Cuomo, Department of Educational Studies, commissioned by Fondazione CondiVivere di Bresso (MI) and in

  • collaboration with IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana (RM) and Ospedale Bambino Gesù (RM).

  • The research focuses on a sample group of 13 adults with intellectual disability (mainly Down syndrome) and aims to improve the quality of their lives through opportunities and circumstances that provide them with skills for a more independent life, preparing them for their life “after parents”.

  • September 2009 - present: team member on the research-action-training project “Il filo di Arianna”. The project is coordinated by Professor Nicola Cuomo, Department of Educational Studies, commissioned by Associazione Italiana X-Fragile and in collaboration with IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana (RM) and Ospedale Bambino Gesù (RM). The research focuses on a representative sample of people from 7 months to 56 years-old and has a cross-curricular approach to intellectual disabilities. It aims to direct educational and tuition practices towards appropriate intervention for developing better cognitive and emotional resources. ( http://xfragile.forumattivo.com/).

  • 2007/2008-2008/2009: team member on the project “I Care”, sponsored by

  • MIUR - chief advisor Prof. Nicola Cuomo (Department of Educational Studies) in collaboration with local schools: nursery school “Villa Gaia” in Castelnovo di

  • Sotto (RE), I.C. di Castel di Casio (BO), I.C. in Porretta Terme e I.C. in Castelnovo di Sotto (RE). The project worked on learning and teaching problems and the development of originality, diverse intellects and the build-up of backgrounds, environments, strategies, technology, skills and procedures for the well-being of teaching and learning.

  • 2006/2007: member of the research-action-training project team.

  • Coordinator, prof. Nicola Cuomo (Department of Educational Studies). In collaboration with D.D. I° Circolo in Maglie (LE) and with the association A.Ge.Di.S. (Association of Parents of Disabled Children of Salento).

  • 2006-present: member of the team “Gruppo di Ricerca multi ed interistituzionale, multi ed interdisciplinare” institutionalised by Department of Educational Studies in Bologna with the aim of testing theories,methods and good practice in order to overcome the handicap caused by deficit. The group members are parents of people with disabilities living in Bologna and its province.

  • 2006-present: member of the team for fundraising RFO ex 60% coordinated by prof. Nicola Cuomo (Department of Educational Studies)

  • 2005/2006: member of “l'intelligenza emozionale” project team, coordinated by prof. Nicola Cuomo (Department of Educational Studies) in

  • collaboration with the primary school Pirazzini, V circolo in Faenza (RA).

  • 2005-present: member of the project team, coordinated by prof. Nicola Cuomo (Department of Educational Studies) on a sample of children and teenagers of different Italian areas (mainly Bologna, Pescara, Lecce, Bari and their districts) with learning difficulties and/or school failure and/or mental or physical disabilities. The project outlines operational guidelines for a pedagogical and tuition project with the aim to improve cognitive development of children and teenagers with mental disabilities and to optimise integration in classroom, at home and during free time.

C. EDUCATIONAL/SECON LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 2007- present: Managing Editor of Emozione di Conoscere e il Desiderio di Esistere(http://rivistaemozione.scedu.unibo.it), international and multidisciplinary magazine, issued by Department of Educational Studies. Head editor, prof. Nicola Cuomo.

  • 2010: Member of the scientific board of CondiVivere Foundation in Bresso. The foundation provides people with mental disabilities, skills for a more independent life and prepares them for their life “after parents”.
