Alice Bencivenni

Associate Professor at Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna since 2019, performing research in the field of Greek epigraphy and Greek History. Research interests lie particularly in the political communication between Hellenistic kings and cities and in the analysis of Greek institutions. Research works focussed on critical edition of some Hellenistic historical inscriptions (Axon-Iscrizioni storiche greche) and of the Greek inscriptions from Karkemish. She edited the Greek inscriptions from Ravenna and, as part of the international project Inscriptions of Libya, the inscriptions of Greek Cyrenaica and the Greek verse inscriptions from Greek and Roman Cyrenaica, whose second edition is currently in preparation. She is p.i. of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project ENCODE.
