Alessio Boattini

Assistant professor at the University of Bologna, his main research interests are in the fields of Molecular Anthropology and Genetics of Human Populations. Current research activities focus on: genetic history of populations from the Mediterranean domain, genes/culture/environment interaction, impact of transposable elements in the recent evolution of 'modern' and 'archaic' (Denisova, Neanderthal) Homo species.
