Request for final dissertation supervision
Given the high number of requests for bachelor's and master's theses, students are advised to:
- request their thesis at least TWO sessions in advance
- request their thesis during office hours and NOT by email
- arrive at the aforementioned office hours with a WRITTEN proposal of the topic to be discussed and a related bibliography (at least a draft)
- prioritize NON-compilatory topics
- plan to dedicate time to fieldwork and the analysis of at least one CASE STUDY.
The draft proposal must be written according to the following (indicative) format:
1) Introduction to the research topic
2) Theoretical framework and current literature on the identified topic
3) Description of the research topic and research question: provide justification for why it is important to answer the research question and how this answer contributes to increasing the knowledge base on the topic
4) Description of the methodology: what tools are used to analyze the investigated phenomenon/case study and why the proposed methodology is relevant
5) Brief description of the context: empirical analysis/case study
6) Expected outcomes
