The research interests of Dr. Quadri are focused on the utilization of LED lighting in indoor farming systems to enhance the production of bioactive compounds (BCs) in medicinal plants. Currently, in collaboration with various departments and research groups (DISTAL, DIN, and FaBiT), as well as a leading international company in the horticulture LED manufacturing industry (C-LED S.r.l.), his studies aim to maximize the concentration and yield of anticancer active principles in Catharanthus roseus through the combined use of LED light with elicitors (e.g., Plasma Activated Water PAW, Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi-based biostimulants ) and innovative soiless cultivation systems.
