Alessandro Quadri

Dr. Alessandro Quadri earned his MSc in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies (2020) from Unibo, with highest honors (110/110 cum laude).

He also gained valuable industrial experience at renowned multinational companies in the agro-industrial sector: Haifa Group (2016), Rijk Zwaan (2018-2019) and Unitec S.p.A (2020-2021).

In 06/2025, he completed with highest honors an industrial PhD in “Health, Safety and Green Systems” within the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering research group at DISTAL, in collaboration with the company C-LED S.r.l. During his PhD, he also undertook a research stay at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT), Germany.

He was awarded the ISA Doctoral Prize, a recognition for excellence in interdisciplinary research.

From 02/2025 - 01/2026, he was a postdoc research fellow working on the project “Engineered LED Biostimulation Systems for the Qualitative-quantitative Improvement in the Cultivation of Medicinal Plants”.  In 05/2025, he was a visiting researcher at HSWT.

Since 02/2026, he has been a Junior Assistant Professor conducting research on LED lighting strategies for plant production in CEA.
