Alessandra Rosa is Assistant Professor in Educational Research at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna.
She has carried out research projects mainly in the areas of formative and summative assessment in teaching and learning processes at school and university; evaluation of schools and teachers effectiveness, with specific focus on value-added models; recognition and validation of non-formal and informal learning, with a focus on ePortfolio as a tool to support lifelong learning and employability; evaluation of educational and training programs (e.g. in-service training programs designed for university and school teachers, induction programs for beginning school teachers, continuous training programs in companies). She recently took part in a research project on video analysis as a tool for promoting quality teaching in higher education.
She has taught in university courses for undergraduate and graduate students and for professionals working in school and outside school focused on the following contents: assessment and evaluation in teaching and learning processes, validation and certification of competences, design and evaluation of educational and training programs, research methodologies in education, observation techniques and tools in educational contexts.
