Curriculum vitae

Alessandra Rosa, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in Educational Research at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna.

She has carried out research projects at national and international level mainly in the areas of assessment procedures and tools in school and university contexts, with a focus on formative assessment strategies; approaches and methodologies for teacher education and professional development, with a focus on the potential of video analysis as a training tool to foster teacher change and professional growth; relationship between assessment beliefs and practices in initial and continuous teacher training; monitoring and evaluation of training programs, with particular reference to continuing professional development courses for in-service teachers; value-added models for measuring school effectiveness and issues related to the use of data for school accountability and improvement.

She has taught in university courses for undergraduate and graduate students and for professionals working in school and outside school mainly focused on the following contents: assessment and evaluation in teaching and learning processes; validation and certification of non-formal and informal learning; design and evaluation of educational and training programs; research methodologies in education; observation techniques and tools in educational contexts.
