I'm a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Bologna, Department of Political and Social Sciences. My research project focuses on the role that social conflicts play in the construction and definition of the local welfare system, understood as a particular dynamic mix of formal and informal actors, public or not, who are engaged in providing welfare resources, by virtue of specific local socio-economic and cultural conditions. I look especially at the conflicts that have emerged with regard to the housing crisis, taking squats as a specific object of research and an illustrative manifestation of social conflicts at the local urban level. In general, I am also interested in food and urban issues and research methodologies, with a focus on creative and participatory research methods.
