The current ongoing project is "Study of the health status of transgender individuals during the gender affirmation medical process."
The aim of the research project is to assess various aspects of the physical health of transgender individuals assigned female at birth (AFAB) and assigned male at birth (AMAB) who are undergoing the gender affirmation path at our center, with particular attention to the impact of hormone therapies or surgeries involved in the gender affirmation journey.
Other topics that the research focuses on include endocrine disorders during the fertile age and adolescence, symptoms of menopause, and urogynecological disorders.
