Curriculum vitae

Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Trento, since 2003 he has been a holder of the Criminal Law course of the company, at the Department of Economics of the University of Bologna, headquarters of Forlì.

Research interests range over large areas of criminal law, with a focus on economic criminal law.

Graduated in Law at the University of Bologna, from 1986 to 1992 he received several scholarships from the National Research Council and carried out research at the "Max-Planck-Institut für auslandisches und internationales Strafrecht", Freiburg i. Br., Germany.

After several years of teaching contract (from 1987 to 1990) at the University of Trento, in 1991 he became a researcher in the disciplinary sector IUS / 17 Diritto penale. In 2001 he obtained the title of Associate Professor and since 2005 he has been a professor of the first category.

Since 2003 he has held the course of Criminal Law of the company, at the Department of Economics of the University of Bologna, headquarters of Forlì.

At the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento he is currently the holder of the course of Criminal Law, Criminal Law of the Economy and Criminal Law of Computer Science.

He has participated in numerous national and international research programs

At the University of Trento, he was Vice-Director of the Faculty of Law, President of the University Disciplinary Board and member of the Board of Professors of the Doctoral School in European and Comparative Legal Sciences.

He is a member of the Board of the School of specialization for the legal professions of the Universities of Trento and Verona, in which he held the position of Director and Deputy Director.

He is a member of the "Associazione Italiana dei Professori di Diritto Penale" and of the "Associazione Internazionale di Diritto penale".

He is member of the Scientific Committee of the "Centro Europeo de Estudios en lo Penal Tributario / European Research Center on Tax Crimes", and of the "Associazione Nazionale Tributaristi Italiani" (A.N.T.I.), Sezione "Sanzioni e reati".

He is member of the Scientific Committee and/or of the Committee of Expert Auditori of several legal journals and magazines ("Archivio penale”, L'Indice penale", "Criminal Justice Network", "Rivista di Diritto Bancario", "Rivista di Diritto Sportivo", "Rivista Italiana di Diritto e Procedura Penale", "Rivista Giuridica dell'Edilizia", "MediaLaws", "Rivista italiana di Diritto del Turismo", "Lexambiente", "Ricerche Giuridiche", "Diritto Penale Economia e Impresa", "DisCrimen").

He is an honorary member of the "Centro Argentino de Estudios en lo Penal Tributario" and collaborates with the "Cátedra Unesco de Derechos Humanos y Democracia" of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria/Spagna.

Since 1985 he has been enrolled in the Register of Lawyers of Bologna and is now qualified to defend the Court of Cassation

Since 1990 he has been Lecturer in the courses organized by the Order of Journalists of Emilia-Romagna for the professional training of journalists.
