Keywords: Deep volatile cycling Deep carbon cycle Fluid-rock interactions

My research centers on the cycling of volatile elements, especially carbon, in the deep Earth through a combination of natural observations, laboratory analysis and experimental synthesis, and numerical simulations. I am currently holding an ERC Consolidator Grant entitled "Depp serpentinization, H2, and high-pressure abiotic CH4" aimed at improving our understanding of the processes of deep, unconventional energy sources such as H2 and abiotic CH4 and their role in global geochemical cycling and deep biosphere fluid-rock interactions.
