Alberto Cordioli has been Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna since 2025. He is CEO and Founder of GreenYou, a startup developing quantitative models and analytical tools to support citizens and companies in the ecological transition.
His professional and research activities lie at the intersection of data science, risk management, and sustainability, with a particular focus on quantitative modeling and data-driven solutions.
Education
He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science – Data and Media Knowledge from the University of Trento (summa cum laude). His thesis, titled “An automated system for internet pharmacy verification”, focused on data mining and data processing techniques for the automated verification of online platforms.
In 2012, he received the “Best 2012 Thesis Award in Computer Science and Information Engineering” from IBM.
Professional Career
From 2018 to 2025, he worked at Prometeia S.p.A., where he held positions of increasing responsibility in Enterprise Risk Management and analytical solutions for financial institutions.
As Head of Product Strategy, he led the definition of product vision and roadmap, aligning strategic objectives with technological innovation (AI and advanced analytics) and regulatory developments. Previously, as Product Manager, he was responsible for designing and implementing innovative risk management solutions, defining pricing strategies, and coordinating with national and international stakeholders.
He began his career at Prometeia as a Big Data Specialist, coordinating complex analytical projects in the banking and insurance sectors and supervising teams of data scientists.
Previously, he worked at EY (Zurich) as Senior Consultant in Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services, coordinating international analytical projects.
From 2013 to 2017, he worked at Teralytics AG (Zurich), initially as Big Data Engineer and later as Senior Specialist / Technical Lead, leading teams developing large-scale analytical pipelines for mobile network data analysis.
He also worked as Data Scientist at eCrime (University of Trento) within European projects focused on online fraud prevention, and as Big Data Engineer at Telecom Italia on smart cities projects.
