Andrea Mantovani is Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Bologna. He received both is M.A and PhD in Quantitative Economics from CORE, Université Catholique de Louvain. He also holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bologna.

His main research focuses on industrial economics, managerial economics, competition policy, game theory, economics of innovation, and environmental economics. He regularly teaches microeconomics, industrial economics, and international economics. He has published in top journals such as Management Science, Strategy Science, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Resource and Energy Economics, Information Economics and Policy, Economics Letters, Journal of Competition Law & Economics, and Health Economics, among others. He has also written a book on the Economics of the European Integration.
He also coordinates the Erasmus exchange programs with Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Universidad Pablo Olavide (Seville), Université Catholique de Louvain, NHH (Bergen), and INSEEC Business School (Paris).
