Andrea Borsari
As full professor in Aesthetics, he teaches at the
University of Bologna, Department of Architecture and is Faculty Member of the PhD Program in Architecture and Cultures of the project at the same University. He taught
and researched in several Italian and foreign Universities
(Florence, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Bologna, FU Berlin,
Nottingham, Otis College of the Arts and Design - LA, Ucla)
and he has developed scientific collaboration with many

He directed the seminar "Habiter le temps: dialogues de philosophie et architecture" (Collège International de Philosophie - Paris, 2016, with G. Leoni), carried out research and intervention periods - as part of the EU projects in which he takes part - at Amsterdam Universiteit (May 2022, January 2023), Universidad Nacional de Colombia - Bogota (September 2022) and Universidad de Buenos Aires (March-April 2023), gave invited lectures and seminars at Freie Universität (May 2015), Humboldt Universität (May 2016) and Technische Universität (June 2022) in Berlin and taught as visiting professor at Ucla – University of California Los Angeles (April 2016, 2022), the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture – Paris La Villette (March 2017, 2018, 2022), the 4Cities Unica Euromaster in Urban Studies - University of Copenhagen (October 2017) and the Sichuan University (University Immersive Program, June-July 2022), as well as professeur invité at Université de Paris 1 - Sorbonne (March 2024); visiting scholar at Brown University - Providence (September-October 2023). Recently, he has organized and directed the international workshops (with G. Leoni and R. Member of the Advisory Board of the International Consortium for
the Study of Post-Conflict Cultures at the University of
Nottingham, since October 2012 named International Consortium
for the Study of Post-Conflict Reconstruction and
Reconciliation, he was managing editor of «Iris: European
Journal of Philosophy and Public Debate», Firenze, Firenze
University Press (2009-2011), and he is co-editor and
constituent of the Editorial and of the Scientific Board of the journal based in
Florence «Iride. Rivista di filosofia e discussione pubblica» (il
Mulino, Bologna) and editor of the book series on aesthetics "La vita e le forme" (The life and the forms, Bononia University Press), member of the Scientific committee of the
Fondazione Ex-Campo Fossoli (2012-2022) and of the Scientific Board of the book
series associated to the Department of Architecture (BUP, Bologna), he has served as scientific editor of
the book series «Readings di filosofia, scienze umane e sociali»
(Bruno Mondadori editore, Milano). Since 2021 he has been Editorial Board Member of the series "The City Project" of the publisher Springer (Zürich).
Since 2022 he has been scientific coordinator, with G. Leoni, of the PNRR PE CHANGES Spoke 7 - Università di Bologna Unit - The Historical City: A critical reference and role model for Innovative urban and metropolitan development. He is a team member in the EU funded research projects: ROCK (https://rockproject.eu/ 2017-) and a co-founder of the connected on line journal "City, Culture and Creative Processes"; and SPEME - Questioning Traumatic Heritage: Spaces of Memory in Europe, Argentina, Colombia (https://www.speme.eu/). He took part in the National
Research Project supported by the Italian Ministry of University
(Prin) on "Philosophy and history of ideas and of modern
paradigms of knowledge concerning everyday life" (Prin 2008

of Firenze) and together with Vando Borghi and Giovanni Leoni
(University of Bologna) supervised the multi-year research activity
