Maurizio Gabbrielli

Maurizio Gabbrielli is professor of Computer Science since 2001 at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Bologna. He is also Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Associate dean for AI at Bologna Business School and member of the INRIA project team FOCUS. He received his Ph.d. in Computer Science in 1992 from the University of Pisa and has been employed at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI, Amsterdam), at the University of Pisa and at the University of Udine.

Maurizio Gabbrielli is author of more than 130 publications in the fields of programming languages and artificial intelligence and he has been Director of the European EIT Digital Doctoral School from 2015 to 2017. He has also been: president of the Italian association for Logic Programming (GULP); member of the advisory board of TPLP; member of the Executive Committee of the Association for Logic Programming; chair of the Steering Committee of the ACM conference PPDP; member of the board of the European association for Programming Languages and Systems.
