Maurizio Gabbrielli is professor of Computer Science since 2001 at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Bologna, University of Bologna. He is also member of the INRIA project team FOCUS and director of the Master in Management of Digital Technology at Bologna Business School. He received his Ph.d. in Computer Science in 1992 from the Univeristy of Pisa. In 1993-95 he was employed at CWI (Amsterdam) as researcher, from 1995 to 1998 he was assistant professor at the University of Pisa and from 1998 to 2001 he was associate professor at the University of Udine.
He is author of more than 100 publications in the fields of programming languages and artificial intelligence and he has been Director of the European EIT Digital Doctoral School from J2015 to 2017. He has also been: president of the Italian association for Logic Programming (GULP); member of the advisory board of TPLP; member of the Executive Committee of the Association for Logic Programming; chair of the Steering Committee of the ACM conference PPDP; member of the board of the European association for Programming Languages and Systems. M. Gabbrielli is partner of italianaSoftware, a company producing technology for Service Oriented Programming, micro services and Cloud computing.
