My current project focuses on Chinese interpreting trainees’ information-seeking behavior with the influence of computer-assisted tools. From the cognitive point of view, my research adopts a pretest & posttest multi-method design to investigate the missing link between glossary-building and glossary-use in the remote simultaneous interpreting setting. I will conduct three data collection cycles to observe documentation behavior with or without CAI tools at two points: when building glossaries and when using them in their booths.The data analysis will be derived from the results from keystroke event logger, screen recording tool and the SI output.
