Zaineb Al Awan

PhD Fellow in Psychology at the University of Bologna, she received her academic training at Tilburg University and Leiden University, specializing in Health and Medical Psychology. Her research explores mind–body interactions and psychosomatization processes, with particular attention to placebo and nocebo effects. She adopts a holistic, biopsychosocial perspective on health, integrating experimental and analytical methodologies. Her current project examines placebo and nocebo effects in psoriasis through big data analyses and machine learning techniques.
