Yunping Liu

Yunping Liu, a Ph.D. candidate at CIRSFID - ALMA AI since November 2023, researches space law and data protection for the Chinese Space Station, drawing from European practices. She aims to advance China's space law field, enchancing Sino-European collaboration in space initiatives.

With a legal background from Xiangtan University, she holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Law. The research topics she has been involved in so far include topics such as ‘European aerospace technology control,’ ‘commercialization system of aerospace enterprises,’ ‘trade control of aerospace products,’ ‘international cooperation and legal issues on data for the Chinese Space Station,’ ‘development and utilization of outer space resources,’ ‘construction of international standards for global satellite navigation,’ and ‘governance of large-scale constellations in low orbit.Her research focuses on the legal and ethical aspects of outer space, aiming to contribute to the establishment of a global, cooperative, and sustainable legal framework.
