Valerio Giuseppe Massaro

I graduated in Computer Engineering with honors first at the University of Sannio (Oct. 2019), then at the University of Bologna (Mar. 2022) carrying out a research period abroad at the CISPA Helmotz Center for Information Security (Saarbruecken, Germany) under the supervision of Dr. Nils Ole Tippenhauer, discussing a thesis concerning the automated testing of CodeSys control applications in the cyber-physical field of Industrial Control Systems.

Currently research fellow at the DISI, I deal with firmware security in the field of embedded and IoT devices with the ultimate goal of designing and developing a framework for static/dynamic analysis aimed at efficiently identifying security vulnerabilities on such devices.
