Short Bio

Valeria Reggi is a discourse analyst and a certified English-Italian translator. She holds a PhD from the Centre for Translation (CenTraS) of University College London, a specialization in literary translation from the University of Venice and a degree with honours in Modern Languages from the University of Bologna. She collaborates with University College London, the University of Brescia, the University of Turin and the University of Bologna, where she is currently adjunct professor and tutor; until 2020 she was subject expert and a member of the Scientific Committee of an international research hub on storytelling and civic awareness (WeTell Alma Idea) at the University of Bologna. She is currently in the editorial board of the Media Ecology journal New Explorations: Studies in Culture and Communication (University of Toronto). Valeria Reggi specialises in qualitative discourse analysis, with a focus on multimodality. Her work, which includes articles of literary criticism, translations and works on discourse analysis, has been published, among many others, with John Benjamins, Routledge, Peter Lang, Stockholm University Press and Tangram.
