Profile
Postdoctoral Researcher at the Bologna Division of the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN). Her research focuses on experimental particle physics, with particular emphasis on the development of innovative detectors for neutrino experiments, silicon photomultiplier (SiPM)-based detection technologies, and high-performance reconstruction algorithms. She is a member of the international DUNE collaboration.
Education
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physics (2015) and her Master's degree in Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics (2019) from the University of Bologna. In 2023, she completed her PhD in Physics at the same institution with a dissertation on the development of innovative optical imaging techniques for liquid argon detectors.
Research Activity
She has been a member of the international DUNE collaboration since 2021 and currently serves as Co-Deputy Convener of the SAND Physics and Software Working Group. She coordinates the development of reconstruction algorithms, software infrastructure, and data analysis, contributing to the advancement of innovative technologies for neutrino detection. She is also involved in the IBIS and IBIS-NEXT projects, which focus on the development of next-generation SiPM sensors, and has contributed to the SHiP and SHADOWS experiments and the FORTRESS project, working on advanced particle detector technologies for fundamental physics and nuclear medicine applications.
Teaching Activity
Since 2019, she has served as a teaching tutor at the University of Bologna for undergraduate courses in Physics, Astrophysics, and Mathematics.
Other Activities
She is actively involved in science communication and public outreach, promoting physics to students and the general public. Since 2025, she has served as the Emilia-Romagna Regional Coordinator of the Asimov Prize and regularly contributes to the organization of outreach events such as the European Researchers' Night, Pint of Science, and Modena Play. She previously served on the Executive Board of the Minerva Science Communication Association and continues to promote initiatives aimed at communicating contemporary physics through schools and public events.
