Academic discipline: CHIM/12 Chemistry for the Environment and for Cultural Heritage

Short Bio

PhD student in Heritage Science at Sapienza University of Rome starting from 2022, she is carrying out her research activities in collaboration with Alma Mater Studorum - Bologna University, at the Microchemistry and Microscopy Art Diagnostic Laboratory (M2ADL) in Ravenna Campus.

Her main research topics concern the technologies for the diagnostics, the monitoring and the study of Cultural Heritage with specific attention to advanced analytical methods for the study and biomolecular characterisation of archaeological and fossil human and faunal remains.

Currently focusing her reseach activities on the application of spectroscopic methods on burned skeletal remains and the development of innovative biomimetic receptors based on Molecularly Imprinted BioPolymers (MIBPs) coupled with optical (SPR) and colorimetric (BELISA, LFA) biosensing for the detection and discrimination of amelogenins X/Y in human dental enamel samples, generating a significant impact on archaeological and forensic investigations.
