Uros Josic obtained his DMD degree in 2016 from the School of Dental Medicine, University of Belgrade (6-year program), where he later worked as a teaching tutor in 2018. Subsequently, he completed a three-year PhD program and received his PhD degree in 2021 from University of Bologna, in collaboration with the University of Belgrade.
Since January 2022, he has been working as a research fellow at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences (DIBINEM), University of Bologna. In 2023 and 2024, he spent a period abroad as a specialization student at KU Leuven, supported by the Bowen Early Career Investigator Award (USD 20,000) from the Academy of Dental Materials.
He has participated in national research projects (PRIN) and co-supervised several undergraduate theses. His main research interests include adhesive dentistry and its applications in conservative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
He is the author of articles published in international peer-reviewed journals with impact factors, serves as a reviewer for reputable dental journals, and is an Associate Editor at Frontiers in Dental Medicine.
Dr. Josic holds dental licenses in both Italy and Serbia and is actively involved in clinical activities at the Dental Clinic of the University of Bologna. His current h-index is 19 (source Scopus, May 2026) with more than 1.100 citations.
