Short Bio

Tristan Chadney is an architect, adjunct professor at the Department of the Arts, University of Bologna, where he runs the LAB - Boîte à miracles, and maître de conférences at the École d’architecture de la Ville & des Territoires, Paris-Est, where he chairs at the pedagogical commission, and runs design and seminar studios both to bachelor and master students, coordinates research groups and gives lectures on constructive rationality in architecture. He is regularly invited as a guest critic to the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. He was a member of the team in charge of the scientific curatorship of the 2019 Lisbon Architecture Triennial, and co-author of the book Natural Beauty, The Meanings of Construction, issued from this research. Tristan Chadney is principal of the architecture practice Experience, based in Paris, in collaboration with two partners, that has gained an international reputation in the construction of rational projects with complex spatial and theoretical dimensions.
