Short Bio

Tommaso Pirini received his Bachelor, Master Degrees and PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2008, 2011 and 2015, respectively. The topic of his studies were distributed systems, P2P networks and data mining. He was a visiting research scolar at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, where he worked in privacy issues for cloud services. His research interests are in the field of methods and techniques of data mining in centralized and distributed environment for structured and unstructured data, distributed information systems and Java web programming.  He worked in the MO.RE.Farming POR-FESR project to build the cloud architecture that manages the information gathered to improve the precision farming.

He teaches Informatics and Data Base Systems and Programming in Master courses at the Bologna Business School and at the Economics and Statistics Science School of the University of Bologna.
