Tommaso Casati

Tommaso Casati earned his Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences in July 2019 (108/110) and his Master’s degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies in July 2021 (with highest honours), both from the University of Florence, Italy. In November 2021 he passed the State Examination for admission to the Italian National Register of Geologists, qualifying as a Senior Professional Geologist. From January 2022 to December 2024 he was a PhD student in Hydrogeology at the University of Bologna and, in June 2025, obtained his PhD in Earth, Life and Environmental Sciences (with excellent). Since January 2025 he has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Hydrogeology at the University of Bologna, where he serves as Scientific Coordinator of a project to strengthen the quantitative groundwater monitoring network and the census of natural springs in the River Basin District Authority of the Southern Apennines.
