Short Bio

Tiziano Maestri is Associate Professor at the Physics and Astronomy Department of the University of Bologna where he teaches the "Radiative Transfer and Remote sensing", the "Planetary Atmospheres" and "Atmospheric Physics and Meteorology" courses. His research areas cover topics ranging from the modelling of radiative transfer to the atmospheric remote sensing with focus on the identification, classification and retrieval of cloud properties. He is currently involved in the preparatory phases of the European Space Agency satellite mission called FORUM which will be devoted to providing the first high spectral resolution measurements from space in the far infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
