major in Health education and hospital technique at the University
of Bologna. In 1986 he received a Master in "Statistical,
epidemiological and operational methods applied in medicine and
public health" at Ecole de Sante Publique dell'Université Libre de
Bruxelles. In 1990-1991, he attended the courses “Analysis of
health services”, “Management of health services”, “Research
methods” and “Information service” in the framework of the Master
in Management of the Health Services at Departement
d'Administration de la Santè dell'Università of Montreal.
