Scholar of visual communication, Tatiana Agliani trained at Ca' Foscari University in Venice where she received a PhD in Civilization of India and East Asia. She has written essays and edited books and exhibitions on photography and Italian photojournalism, including the volume La realtà e lo sguardo. Storia del fotogiornalismo in Italia (Einaudi, 2015, with Uliano Lucas). She has been the curator of the archive of photojournalist Uliano Lucas since 2005, she has taught History of Photography at Isia in Urbino and is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Contemporary History Journal of the Historical Institute of Italian Resistance Movement in Alexandria.
