Short Bio

Tamara Roma has a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Bologna, and she earned a Master of Arts in Historical Sciences at the University of Bologna with a dissertation in History of women and gender identity about the Italian abortion law (law 194/1978). She attended an advanced course in Bioethics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Currently she is a PhD student in "Human Rights: Evolution, Protection and Limits" at the University of Palermo and Tutor of “Women and Law” at the University of Bologna.

Her main interests are the history and regulation of sexual and reproductive rights in a gender and critical comparative perspective, and more generally Health Comparative Law issues.
