My research adopts an interdisciplinary approach encompassing Korean language education, specifically the intercomprehension of Sino-Korean vocabulary. In the field of sociolinguistics, I analyze the relationship between language and power, focusing on violence manifested in official government documents within military contexts. Additionally, my work explores the transnational reception of Hallyu (Korean Wave) and fandom culture outside of Korea. Ultimately, my research aims to investigate the semiotic discrepancies between linguistic representation and social reality.
