Curriculum vitae

Stevo Lavrnić is an environmental engineer and is currently a senior researcher in the AGR/08 (Agricultural hydraulics and watershed protection) scientific group at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences, where he has been carrying out his research activities since 2017 focusing on the agricultural water management and sustainable use of water resources, with particular interests for nature-based solutions and wastewater reuse. He graduated in 2011 at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, obtained a master's degree from the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands and a PhD degree from the University of Cadiz in Spain. He has participated in several regional, national and international research projects, also holding the position of Task and WP leader. He has been a member of the organizing, scientific or programme committee in over 10 international conferences and is contributing as a reviewer for several international scientific journals. He is currently a member of the management committee of the IWA (International Water Association) Specialist Group on Water Reuse, the Specialist Group on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control and the Specialist Group on Small Water and Wastewater Systems. In 2022 he obtained the national scientific qualification for the position of associate professor for the scientific sector 07/C1 (Agricultural, forestry and biosystems engineering).
