PhD candidate of the 41st cycle in Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences (STAAA) at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL), University of Bologna, within the curriculum Silviculture, Forest Ecology and Management. The research project is carried out within the Horizon Europe programme ARCADIA - Transformative Climate Resilience by Nature-Based Solutions in the Continental Bio-geographical Region.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Science and Nature Management at the University of Bologna. The thesis focused on the monitoring of semi-natural ridge grasslands for the conservation of Parnassius mnemosyne in the Casentinesi Forests National Park.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Bologna. The thesis concerned the monitoring of Osmoderma eremita within the LIFE EREMITA project in the Casentinesi Forests National Park.
Research and professional activities
- Postgraduate research fellow at the Department DISTAL, University of Bologna, working on the interactions between forest production functions and biodiversity conservation in forest planning and on the policy coherence between the National Forest Strategy and the National Biodiversity Strategy 2030.
Previous professional experiences include activities as environmental educator and information officer in the Casentinesi Forests National Park and the organization of environmental education and outreach activities for schools and visitors.
