Short Bio

PhD student of the XL cycle in Biomedical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering (IBES) at CASY (Center for Research on Complex Automated Systems), within the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi" at the University of Bologna, under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Notarstefano.

The PhD scholarship is funded by Next Generation EU - PNRR and the research activity is carried out in collaboration with IMA S.p.A. The assigned research topic is "Optimal control and learning for complex systems in smart industry contexts".

I received my Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering in 2022 and my Master's degree in Automation Engineering in 2024, both with honours. My Master's thesis, entitled "Learning-based control strategies for safe autonomous robot navigation in unknown environments" focused on the development of safe learning-based optimal control strategies using Control Barrier Functions learned online through Gaussian Processes.
