I am an observational astronomer interested in the formation and evolution of massive galaxies. I mostly work with spectroscopic data of distant galaxies using optical, near-infrared, and sub-millimeter telescopes. I am the Principal Investigator for Blue Jay, a James Webb Space Telescope program that obtained detailed spectra for 150 galaxies at high redshift.
I arrived in Bologna in 2022 thanks to the Rita Levi Montalcini program for young researchers working outside of Italy. Earlier, I have worked at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (USA) and at the Max-Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (Germany). I obtained my PhD at Caltech (USA) in 2015.
My research is funded by an ERC Starting Grant .
