Simone Vagnoni

PhD student in Law, Science and Technology at the University of Bologna, he is carrying out a thesis project on eParticipation and data-driven legislation, under the supervision of prof. M. Palmirani. His research focuses on NLP, democratic procedures, and cognitive sciences.

Previously, He designed and developed an application for Legambiente, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and collecting data for research purposes, collaborating with profs. D. Potena and E. Storti of UNIVPM. He has also explored sentiment analysis with models such as BERT and GPT-3.5 on Italian social networks, under the guidance of profs. C. Diamantini and A. Mircoli of UNIVPM.

Simone obtained a master's degree in Computer Engineering in Bologna, with a thesis on Analysis of EEG alpha waves on visual tasks, supervised by prof. V. Romei, and a degree with a thesis on electronic voting systems, led by prof. M. Prandini. In 2020, He broadened his experiences with an Erasmus at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
