Simone Papale

Simone Papale is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Bologna. He is also Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Law, Politics and International Studies of the University of Parma.

Simone has a PhD in International Relations from the University of Nottingham, where he is Associate Member of the Centre for the Study of Subversion, Unconventional Interventions and Terrorism (SUIT). His research focuses on contemporary warfare, food security, climate stress, and the relationship between essential resources and conflict. His work has appeared in international peer-reviewed journals including International Affairs, Studies in Conflict & Terrorism, Critical Studies on Terrorism, and International Peacekeeping. Simone is also the author of a book on "Food Warfare" in global politics, currently in publication with Bloomsbury Publishing, which examines the role of food as a tool of warfare and coercion.
