Simone Carati (1992) holds a PhD in Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures from the University of Bologna in partnership with the University of L'Aquila. He worked as an Adjunct Professor of Comparative Literature and History of Literary Criticism at the University of Padua and as a postdoctoral researcher at the same university on the project "Obscene Freedom. Libertinism and Radical Enlightenment in Contemporary Fiction and Imagery". His research focuses on the representation of reality in contemporary fiction (particularly US literature), the adventure novel and Mario Lavagetto's critical work. He is a Compalit Fellow and a Teaching Tutor in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the University of Bologna.
