Simone Bari is a PhD student in “Automotive Engineering for Intelligent Mobility” at the University of Bologna, Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering “G. Marconi”. His research focuses on Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS) for electric vehicles, combining batteries and supercapacitors through advanced energy management and control strategies.
He earned his Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Parma with a thesis on the design and implementation of a 600–24 V Flyback DC-DC converter for the UniPR Racing Team’s electric Formula SAE car, gaining experience in power electronics, PCB design, and experimental validation.
