Short Bio

Associate professor of General and Applied Entomology (AGR11) at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Previously assistant professor for 12 years (2009-2021) at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and researcher at the University of Göttingen (Germany) for 5 years, at the University of Giessen (Germany) for 2 years and at the University of Pisa for 1 year. He was a master and a PhD student of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa in collabration with the University of yale (USA). His research fields cover agricultural and forest entomology, chamical ecology and ecological interactions between plants and insects, insect olfaction, semiochemicals, insects rearing, volatile organic compounds (GC-MS), sensory proteins (OBPs and CSPs), apiculture and impact of pesticides. Author of 62 peer-reviewed international journals (H-index: 23, citations: >3000) and more than 80 conference proceedings, oral communications and posters. It is part of the Editorial Board of ''Bulletin of Insectology", "Frontiers in Physiology", "Scienze e Ricerche", and "Insects". Go to the Curriculum vitae
