SM is Associate Professor of Numerical Analysis at the Department
of Mathematics, School of Engineering, University of Bologna,
ITALY. Since 2011 S.M. is member of the PhD Committee in the Doctor
of Philosophy Program on Computational Mathematics, University of
Padua, Italy. She graduated magna cum laude in 1992 at the
University of Bologna, Italy. In 1997 she obtained her PhD in
applied mathematics at the University of Padua, Italy. In 1997 she
got a post-Doctoral Research position at the Vanderbilt University,
Tennessee, USA, supervisor Prof. L. Schumaker. S.M. is author of
more than 80 international publications, and she has supervised
more than 30 graduate/undergraduate theses at University of
Bologna, Italy. S.M. was visiting professor at several
international Universities and at the University of Valenciennes,
France, she taught an advance mathematics phD course. She
gave invited talks at several national and international
conferences. She is Associate Editor for the journal Applied
Mathematics and Computation, Elsevier, and referee for various
scientific international journals.
