Short Bio

Postdoc in Computer Science (INF/05) at the University of Bologna. My work consistently brings together feminist theories and computational methods to analyse digital culture, with a particular focus on platformed toxicity, polarisation dynamics and gendered forms of participation.

I studied Communication Science and Digital Humanities at the University of Catania and obtained my International PhD in Digital Humanities from the University of Genoa in July 2025 (awarded summa cum laude). Just after my PhD I was employed as Research Fellow in Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes at 'La Sapienza' University in Rome. More recently, I worked for two months as Scientific Advisor at the University of Catania within the PRIN project EUquest, focusing on agenda setting phenomena in the EU Parliament.

I have been a visiting researcher at the University of Brighton (UK), at the Language Technology Group at the University of Hamburg (DE), and at the Institute of Contemporary History in Ljubljana. I have published in Italian and international scientific journals and, in 2019, I authored a monograph on the historical and cultural roots of Posthumanism.
