Master degree in Architecture at the Politecnico of Milan. PhD at the Facoltà di Architettura of Genoa. Full professor of the Architectural Department of the University of Bologna former Coordinator of the Five Year Master Degree in Architecture of the same university.

The theories of architectural composition in relation to the history of the city are the guidelines that characterize the research interests of the city's architecture. Urban hierarchies, urban morphology and architecture can still represent a compositional hypothesis for the shape of the contemporary city. Attention to the quality of the urban set or the built landscape is studied in a vision that takes into account the safeguarding of the resources available today, which are becoming more and more precious.
