Currently, I am working on a project focused on developing biosensors for detecting Leishmania infantum in biological samples, as well as tests to assess the drug sensitivity of drugs and natural/natural-like compounds in strains of L. infantum and L. donovani from both human and canine sources.
During my doctoral studies, I investigated the vaginal microbiota (at both microbial and metabolomic levels) under physiological conditions (e.g., pregnancy) and pathological conditions (e.g., bacterial vaginosis). Additionally, I evaluated the effects of vaginal lactobacilli on urogenital pathogens.
