Vai al sito

Funded by the European Union under ERASMUS + Program - Key Action 2 (Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education system), REACH is aimed at strengthening the research capacities of the Albanian Higher Education Institutions in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.

Professors and researchers of the Department of Cultural Heritage and of the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna will field their skills applied to the study, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, collaborating with the University of Urbino Carlo Bo and the Higher School for the Conservation and Restoration of the Cultural Heritage of Galicia (Spain), to establish a capacity building process to the Albanian partners: the University of the Arts of Tirana (which coordinates the project), the Polytechnic University of Tirana, the University of Shkoder, the Academy of Albanological Studies.

Collaboration with Italian partners will allow Albanian universities and research institutes to acquire innovative research methodologies and, therefore, specific technical skills in the field of restoration and conservation of cultural heritage. The Albanian partners will also be provided with new research laboratories, equipped with the latest generation of instruments.

Thanks to the involvement of the Albanian Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth as a key partner, REACH aims to promote the development of structural measures to establish standards for assessing the quality of research applied to the conservation and restoration of the Albanian cultural heritage in line with the standards promoted by the European Union.
