Sara Battistini

Sara Battistini is a Research Fellow at the Department of Architecture, Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, and a member of the Advanced Design Unit (ADU). She works within the Made in Italy Circolare e Sostenibile (MICS) programme (PNRR - PE11), contributing to the FuturE-Pack project.

With a background in Industrial Design from Università degli Studi di Firenze and a master’s in Advanced Product Design from Università di Bologna, she has expertise in packaging, visual communication, and digital media. Her research focuses on developing digital tools and guidelines for smart and sustainable packaging, addressing UX/UI design and advanced technological solutions for designers and companies. She combines design practice with applied research, linking digital innovation with circularity challenges and exploring how Made in Italy values can engage global networks in contemporary
design narratives.
