Samir Galal Mohamed (Sassocorvaro, 1989) is a PhD student at the "G. M. Bertin" Department of Education Studies (EDU), Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.
His research focuses on the history of education and pedagogy in contemporary Italy, with particular attention to the intersections between education, politics, and democracy in the post-war period. His doctoral research examines the figure of Antonio Banfi and the relationship between pedagogical culture, political engagement, and educational debate in Republican Italy. His research interests also include the history of democratic education, the relationship between schooling and citizenship, and the development of Italian educational policies in the second half of the twentieth century.
