Sadaf Fathi

Ms. Sadaf Fathi, born on 17 August 1997, is currently serves as a Research Assistant at the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, University of Bologna. Her academic and research activities are expected to continue until April 2027.


She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's degree in Technology Management. Her research focuses on the application of computational methods and artificial intelligence in medical imaging, with particular emphasis on image analysis, segmentation, classification, and clinical decision-support systems.


She is actively involved in the METASTRA project, which aims to support personalized treatment planning for patients with spinal metastases through advanced computational models validated in clinical settings. Her interdisciplinary background in engineering, management, and programming enables her to contribute to the development and optimization of innovative, reliable, and clinically applicable AI-based solutions in healthcare.
